Today is one of those days when I feel the urge to organise things. As the house was already pretty tidy, I approached the dreaded task of organising the photos I’ve been uploading to my mac during the last months. It was then when I had the idea of creating a folder for all my crafty work (as I usually take the pics on my iPhone and they end up forgotten somewhere in the iPhone backup folder). So I now have all my work (well, most of it – I keep forgetting to take pics of EVERYTHING!) in one place.
I couldn’t help smiling as I went through the pics I took back in 2012 when I was rediscovering crochet… And my boyfriend though this would be a passing thing… he gave me one month max! LOL!
Flowers – I planned to make brooches with these… can’t remember what happened with them
A blackberry cover – I loved it!
My first scarf was for my boyfriend’s sister… she’s a star!
I made this scarf for me… so warm…mmmm
My boyfriend got jealous so I made this basket stitch cowl for him
Once I learned the basket stitch I really had to make a BASKET
A lovely navy crochet necklace
Experimenting with crochet coasters
Another crochet necklace…
I need to find the pattern for this rose… it was very simple and looks great!
A pineapple pattern… I had to frog bits and re-do them several times…arrgg
Another coaster… experimenting with popcorn
I loved making these… I still use them today!
Another cowl for my boyfriend… I needed to sew three buttons and it took me over a year to do so (I was just too busy with other things!)
This flower was decorating my terrace until it was blown away by the wind 😦
One of my lovely candle holders… You can find a tutorial here
My purple silk scarf… It’s my favourite! I still wear it on cold days
I made this blanket (got much bigger than this!) for my first «niece» – the daughter of one of by best friends. I started it before she was born so it was kind of weird making something with so much love for someone I still hadn’t met.
A scarf with a rose brooch for my mum
A cowl for my friend Yolanda
My first granny square blanket – the squares were siting in a box until I had the courage to join them last year. You can read more about it here.
One of my 2014 resolutions will be to take pics of all the things I make. It feels great to go through them once in a while… it’s like looking back at holiday pictures and remembering the amazing times you had.
Do you take pics of all your work? Do you have a specific method for archiving them?
