I’ve suddenly realised I have more WIPs (works in progress) than I thought! It all happened when I was tidying up at home. Every time I found a WIP I would carefully take it to my studio and put it on my coffee table to sort out later. I was really shocked when I found myself making too many trips to my crafty corner.
I know this has nothing to do with lack of commitment from my part or with projects being too complicated. I just love to start making new things and switching from one to another depending on my mood or where I will be doing my crocheting. For example, when I’m watching TV I usually prefer to work on my blankets (plus they keep me warm!). Sometimes I just see something on Instagram/Pinterest/blogs and I can’t stop myself from giving it a go. And I always try to take some crochet with me when I take the tube to and back from work – smaller projects such as scarfs and hats are perfect as «Tube WIPs».
Here are some of my WIPS…

A baby blanket in pale green and white – small enough to take with me to the park.

My wavy stripes blanket – This is a CAL (crochet along) project I’m working on with my friend and neighbour Ana.

There has been an Instagram shawl fever going on so I had to make one 🙂

After I made my first crochet hat, my other half wanted one for him.

A rope stitch scarf – a great «Tube WIP» project.

I bought Rowan Silk Twist in the same shade as my beloved purple scarf to make myself a matching hat 🙂

Wink and her beautiful tutorials are hard to say no to, especially this mandala floor rug.

A sewing project on my to-do list. I bought the fabric two weeks ago and traced the pattern last week. These are still laying on my dinning table…
Hope you liked the pics and maybe got some inspiration to join the WIP-addict club 🙂
How many WIPs are you working on at the moment? Do you like working on different projects depending on your mood?
Would love to see what you’re working on!

I have so many projects it’s hard to keep track of them. The problem is I still keep starting new ones.
Same here!!! I just started a new one this morning 🙂
Wow you do have a lot of WIP’s. Good luck getting them done.
Will keep you posted 🙂
Unfortunately you just added a few to my list…but that’s fine by me!
I»m trying to finish up WIPs, but at the same time trying to use up scrap yarn. So while that’s using up yarn, it’s adding WIPs…such is life.
It’s a catch22 situation, isn’t it? I’m glad you found a bit of inspiration on my blog 🙂
Haha, that t-shirt yarn rug is definitely calling to me.
Fellow WIP addict, right here. I’ve got more scarves and in progress than I know what to do with. I’m also an afghan junkie – I’ve had about 6 afghans in progress for the last 7 years or so. That’s the problem with WIP addiction – I never seem to get anything done.
And of course now I want to try the rug pattern here…
I like your style, so now I’m your follower! WIPs forever!
They’re all so pretty! I have a heap too. I love my heap:)
I have to really stop myself from starting to many projects at once. But it’s so tempting! x
It is nice to have a few things on the go to give yourself a change of scenery.
I have so many WIPs that I think my coffee table would break if I tried to pile them all on top of it. They all get finished … eventually!
Felicidades Rebeca soy un rutilofilo
Muchas gracias!! 🙂
